Christmas card 2012-1

Hello world! Welcome to Christmas cards series 2012.
I love Christmas, love Christmas dinner, beautiful wrapping paper and cards, lovely presents, and warm mince pies.  But most of all, I love the meaning of Christmas, the One who saved the world was born, so that I have a new life in Him.
So, for the first card, I used Hero Arts Christmas sentiment clear stamp set "Merry Christmas" and "PEACE LOVE JOY".  I used Martha Stewart's circle cutter and cut out a large circle on a red card stock, then a smaller one on purple-ish patterned paper from Stampin' up, then a bunch of very small circles and glued them to the back of that patterned paper to make a flower shape, and glued the flower directly onto the red card stock.  Then I used the circle cutter to cut out a green circle only just slightly smaller than the purple one, and stamped my sentiments on it then put some foam adhesive on the back then adhered the piece on to the centre of the flower.  I used some craft twine wrapped round the front of the card twice and then tied a knot on the side.  To finish off the card, I used my white gel pen and drew some dash lines around the card base.  All the patterned paper I used for this card is from Stampin' Up.

That's how it turned out.  I just love the red, green and gold.
Hope you like it! I'll be back with another card soon.
Thanks for viewing!
